Modeled after Hasbro's Guess Who, this game is designed using 24 Virginia Studies VIPs (Very Important People). Guess the Mystery VIP (Very Important Person) on your opponent’s card by asking one question per turn, and getting rid of faces that don’t fit the VIP description. Choose one of the smaller pictures at the top of the card as your VIP (this is the VIP your opponent is trying to guess).
Until you’re ready to guess, ask your opponent one question per turn. Each question must have a “yes” or “no” answer. For example, you may ask: “Was your VIP ever a United States President?” Your opponent must answer either “yes” or “no”.
After your opponent answers, you may be able to mark out (using a dry erase marker or a chip) one or more VIPs.
For example, if the VIP has not been a U.S. President, then mark out Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, James Madison, Woodrow Wilson, and Ulysses S. Grant.
Five different cards are included in this packet! Just laminate and have students use a dry erase marker to mark out VIPs! These were made to fit Hasbro's Guess Who?'s game stand (see photo)! Kid-friendly instructions included.
VIPs include Thomas Jefferson, George Mason, James Madison, John Smith, Chief Powhatan, James Lafayette, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Jack Jouett, Abraham Lincoln, Nat Turner, Jefferson Davis, Woodrow Wilson, Harriet Tubman, Ulysses S. Grant, John Brown, Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, George C. Marshall, Maggie Walker, Harry F. Byrd, Oliver Hill, Douglas Wilder, and Linwood Holton (the only Virginia Studies VIP not included is Arthur Ashe - only 24 could be used).
