These Power Point slides made to be used with your Smartboard, were created by Heather Bates, SLP. They were designed to help reinforce the grammatical concepts of nouns, verbs, and adjectives. This activity is a good way to have your students practice stating what nouns, verbs, and adjectives are through repetition and practice. The 1st few slides help introduce these grammatical forms. The following slides can then be used as a fun way to practice these concepts.
How to Play: Select a student to come up and sit with their back to the Smartboard. Then select another student or students to give clues to have the 1st student guess what the picture is on the screen. One picture is presented on each slide. Students must state "This is a (noun, verb, or adjective). Then a sentence stem is provided to help them with giving clues. All students are actively engaged and can’t wait to have a turn. This is a simple but fun way to reinforce these specific grammatical forms that your students will love!!
