Here is guide for drafting a book to be published in the Student Treasures Publishing Program. If you've never heard of Student Treasures, I encourage you to check it out online.
This company will send a kit for each child participating for students to write and illustrate their own book to be published for FREE. Every child who creates a book gets one free copy, and they are given the opportunity to purchase more if desired. My class did this for the first time this year, and we love it! The books turned out absolutely adorable, and the kids are really proud of them. After spending all year learning how to write, I feel like this was the perfect ending to our year. Now that the books are in, we are allowing our students to dress up as whatever they chose to become in their book. I can't wait to see the costumes!
This organizer follows the templates that Student Treasures sends in the kit. Students should plan first what they want to say on each page and get an idea of how they will illustrate!
I hope your class has as much fun with this as mine did!
