This product is what I like to call a "guided activity". The first page takes students through solving a fraction word problem step-by-step. The problem is boxed in at the top, and each step is explained in words and shown as an example for support and understanding. I usually model my thinking with this side of the sheet, answering student questions throughout the way. Then, the next page has student questions to apply the learning from the page before. Students are asked to show their work and refer to the guided part to help them. I find these types of math activities a good way to show a student's independent work level.
