This is a great tool to help teachers organize their math groups. This is a math rotation schedule so you know where your students will be and where they have been throughout the week. It allows you to prep for guided math groups on Monday and post all of the activities that will be taught throughout the week. This board also allows you to see what group each student is in, and change it if necessary based on the new skill being taught.
I know I always have trouble remembering which group I have worked with and which group I haven’t in a week. I have used this board as decoration on my Math bulletin board. This way it is always up for students to see, and I will not forget the rotation of the day. Because this board is posted, students will become independent in their tasks. They can see what is expected of them throughout the week.
Much of a teacher's focus is based on Reading. This is a creative way for teacher to not forget about the importance of meeting with all students in your class for small group instruction.
I have created categories for small groups around the room such as: independent work, partner work, math facts, math games, centers, etc. Please comment and let me know how you use them in your classroom. Also if you need me to create a different category for you, post a comment and I will add it. Thanks so much! Enjoy!
