Keeping students engaged in social studies and history lessons and helping them remember the huge amount of content in a year can be tough. This product can help by providing a structure for students (and teachers) to dig deeper into the historical content you are teaching which will allow them to begin making deeper connections like cause and effect relationships and analyzing events from multiple perspectives. Best of all it can be used alongside any curriculum your school has adopted and if they change their textbook series this can still be your go to resource for reinforcing what you are teaching.
The notes page(s) are great for introducing or reviewing the concept and can be used in whole group, small group, as partner work, or independent work and use a variety of notes styles and graphic organizers (fill in the blank, charts & tables, diagrams, webs, etc.). They can be turned in or kept in a social studies notebook or binder for later reference. I specifically designed these for my 5th grade classroom and content, but they could be used in 4th for an introduction or for differentiation or review in older grades.
