This text will challenge the young reader. Each page first names the new feature added to the snowman, but then the reader must continue to decode the words on the page. Without a repetitive text, the reader must rely on reading strategies to decode unknown words. The reader can use the clues in the picture to help read which feature is new to the snowman, but no separate clues are given like in the previous texts.
A must have for differentiating Guiding Reading in winter!
