Everything you need to organize your guided reading binder and your guided reading block! Make the most of your time by using this guided reading binder pack to help you create groups, plan, organize, track data, and run your guided reading block.

The anecdotal notes page and reading level graph are especially helpful with RtI and parent conferences. Lesson plan templates help you create powerful, engaging lessons quickly and efficiently.

  • Cover page for your guided reading binder and binder spine labels for 2” and 1” binders.
  • Group title pages for groups named by color or number
  • A lesson plan template to focus your guided reading plans and make your planning time more efficient.
  • An Editable “Week at a Glance” to organize the books and focus for each group throughout the week. I keep this in the front of my guided reading binder for ease of access.
  • A “Books We Have Read” page to help you keep your books and groups organized. I keep one of these pages in each group’s section.
  • An anecdotal notes page for each student. I choose to use one page per student and keep them in the group’s section in my binder. This makes parent conferences and RtI paperwork a breeze.
  • A running record form to track your students’ accuracy and decoding strategies. This is also especially useful when progress monitoring for RtI.
  • A Text Level Correlation Chart to help you identify the level of guided reading books that have been leveled using different leveling systems.
  • A reading level graph to help motivate your students to achieve their goals and continue improving. I keep these in my Student Data Binder with their benchmark information. This is a great tool to show students and parents the improvement that has been made throughout the year.

• A complete description and guide to guided reading.

• Information and examples for scheduling the guided reading block.

• Information about how to group students and when to move them up a level.

• A guide and explanation for how to plan effective guided reading lessons.
