I absolutely love Jan Richardson’s The Next Step in Guided Reading and The Next Step Forward in Guided Reading. However, I often find it difficult and very time consuming to gather all the necessary materials to implement all parts of the recommended lesson plan. I also find myself flipping through the book in order to figure out what letters, words, etc I need for each lesson.
In order for my guided reading and RTI instruction to be more intentional, I really needed help with organization. So, I decided to take each part of the lesson plan and break it down into quick easy notes for me (or a sub) to reference during the lesson PLUS have all materials needed in one place. This pack is wonderful because it tells you what to do for each section, provides sample wording, specific letters for making words, lists all sight words, gives sample dictated sentences, etc.
This unit includes EVERYTHING you need to implement Guided Reading Activities with any Level A/DRA 1 book.
