Based on two rotations a day with 8 groups, I have four main guided reading groups and I split them in half so students work at centers in smaller groups which helps them focus. I project whichever day we are on onto the smart board and the students independently find their name/group number and go to the station labeled with that number. (I change the group number to their names to make it easier for them to read)

3-Listening to Reading
The four groups are based on reading levels, my lowest group meets with me more often than the higher group.
I also split each of my groups into two so that there aren't too many students at one station, the last page will guide you through where to place each group on the rotation chart.
