Are you looking for a quick and easy way to assess students during guided reading? Or are you looking for early finisher work for your students during guided reading instruction?
If so, my Guided Reading Comprehension Question can is for you! This can is a very useful tool for Guided Reading instruction. You can use the comprehension can a couple of different ways. You can use it as an assessment tool to question students before, during, or after reading. Just put the question cards with the skill you want to assess into the can, and have a student pull a question and answer it. You can also use it as early finisher work. When meeting with your groups, have students bring their written response journals, or paper to write on. After your students have finished reading, have them pull a question and respond to it. You can have them turn their response in for a grade or have each student discuss their response with the group.
This set includes two different sized can labels and nine different color coded sets of comprehension questions cards for fiction texts (6 sets) and nonfiction texts (3 sets). There are 72 questions in all.
