** UPDATED AUGUST 2015!! **
Guided Reading is a time during the day in which the teacher meets with a small group of students to help "guide them" through a book or lessons that is usually 1 instructional level about their independent level. The teacher focuses on specific skills, strategies, phonics skills, vocabulary, etc.
There are 2 different sets of conference and observation forms included in this item. The first set of forms includes space for the Date, Title of the book, Observations, and then a check list of level-appropriate behaviors to notice and support. The second set of forms include Book Title, Genre, Author, Strategy, Skill, and Phonics (all to be filled in by the teacher). Below is the check list of level-appropriate behaviors to notice and support.
These forms inlude Fountas and Pinnell levels A-Z.

2- 4 different Lesson Plan Templates
3- 2 different Guided Reading Logs that students use to keep track of what they have read. My kids keep the log in their Guided Reading Folders and bring them each time we meet.
4- Reading Strategies Poster students can keep on hand as well. Poster includes the strategies:
After each strategy I used an example and a little picture to help kids remember. You can easily blow this poster up at Staples, WalMart, etc. to use as an anchor chart in the classroom.
