Looking for a terrific way to keep your guided reading groups organized and on the right track with Common Core aligned response activities and lessons?
This guide, the response sheets, anchor charts, posters, and much more are just what you need to make guided reading easier for you and fun for your class.
Guided reading is a component of a balanced literacy program that lets teachers have the opportunity to work with all of their students. They will work in a small group setting and use modeling, support, and various reading strategies in order to help them become stronger readers. Students are grouped with other students that have similar reading levels and the same reading weaknesses.
Guided reading groups allow a teacher to target areas that students need to strengthen their reading abilities. Teachers can also introduce new reading strategies and review old ones. These groups allow students to work in a comfortable environment with their similarly reading leveled peers and learn at their own pace.
