This contract enables students take responsibility during Guided Reading Sessions. Ideally, students will spend the first few weeks of school launching Guided Reading and Reader's Workshop in your classroom. When the teacher is ready to start small group instruction, students will use this contract to take ownership of their learning during this time. It will allow for teachers to assess student knowledge of classroom expectations of the Guided Reading/Reader's Workshop time. This template is editable, so teachers can type what they call this time within their classroom.
