Guided Reading Interactive Notes
‘Guided Reading Interactive Notes’ was created to give your students the opportunity to record their thinking after they have met in a reading group. They can collect their thinking in a composition notebook and use their ‘notes’ in a discussion. This can also be given as weekend reading journal activities or supplemental homework assignments.
After your guided reading discussion, have students choose (or you can assign) one interactive activity to include in their guided reading journal.
Colored pencils or crayons
Complete this after guided reading book discussion-
Have students decide on one activity.
Have them cut and paste the activity into notebook after answering the question(s).
If there is time, have them share their work.
