Pre-reader level through a level 'D' reader (Fountas and Pinnell). Checklist provides goals for reader of each level. When learning to read levels are fluid and some components of reading carry over to the next level.
I use the checklist as a basic guide of what to work on with students at each level. I keep track of what goals they've completed and what we still need to work on.
*Not all skills maybe mastered before moving to the next level as some skills are carried over to the next level.
