PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A brief reading on Native Americans and the impact of westward settlement, through to the Indian Citizenship ACt. This reading includes primary sources that cover the Oklahoma C3 standards' required content knowledge on Native Americans from 1830-1925, including the Indian Wars, Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce, the Dawes Act, and the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924.
I used this on a review day when I was absent, to help my students remember key content and introduce them to the Indian Citizenship Act, which otherwise did not fit into our study of the 1920s.
An answer key is included.
