This is a set of questions that can be used to guide class discussions or, more effectively, for small guided reading groups. The questions are meant to be open ended so that they can apply to many texts. There are questions that apply to literature and others that are more geared toward informational text. These cards are meant to be cut, matted, laminated, and bound, but there are many ways they can be used.
They are organized into these categories:
Cause and Effect
Compare and Contrast
Fact and Opinion
Main Idea and Details
Suffixes -ly, -ed, -ing
Download the product, cut into 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 or smaller, mat on cardstock, laminate, and bind across the top margin. Keep them in guided reading material bins so they are on hand for quick use!
