This running records form easily allows you to track student reading progress over time on one form. This form includes a list of Indiana Academic Standards that you can track progress with. This form is perfect for assessing reading, because the standards are tracked and assessed all on the same form! Each recording box assesses the following standards:
-reads word wall words
-self corrects
-uses phonics to read print
-reads aloud smoothly/easily
-attends to punctuation
-connects information to real life
The bottom of the page also allows for the assessing of the following standards:
-retells fiction stories to demonstrate understanding of the central message
-retells main ideas and key details of a nonfiction text
-explains the major difference between books that tell stories and books that give information
