Guided Reading resource looking at the existence of the Loch Ness Monster.
People have been captivated by the presence of a large creature in the icy waters of Loch Ness for centuries. This collection of THREE guided reading activities, aimed at 10 and 11 year olds, tests children’s comprehension, retrieval, inference and deduction skills. It will also promote lively and engaging classroom discussion as children decide for themselves if there is such a thing as the Loch Ness Monster!
Each activity has questions and answers, with an indication of how many marks are on offer at the end of each question. This is particularly helpful for children preparing for reading tests and exams, encouraging them to give fuller answers where required.
This is the first in a series of guided reading activities on some of the world’s most intriguing mysteries. Look out in the future for resources on:
• Big Foot
• The Bermuda Triangle
