This resource is a way to help teachers who use Guided Reading in their classroom organize lessons for each group. The format allows for a two-page layout for each group and is meant to be included in a binder. Organizing your Guided Reading instruction in this manner allows for more thorough planning and keeps your most important resources at your fingertips. The Guided Reading Binder I use is divided into sections for each group with a pocket tab divider where a copy of the Guided Reading book is placed for planning. The second page of the packet is for recording anecdotal notes and running records for each student of each group. I have used this format for two years in my classroom and found enormous success with it.
