Do you implement Guided Reading in your classroom?
If you follow Jan Richardson's guided reading plan, you know that on Day 2, there is a writing portion where the students write a sentence or more, depending on the stage of the learners.
My students love their own special writing journal.
*an alphabet on each page for the students to refer to when writing
*blank space for the teacher to use as "in the moment" teaching points
*a place for the date, so students can practice writing the date
*lines (for my emergent students, I draw a line with a highlighter as we say each word of the sentence)
This is set up so that it can be printed double sided and folded in half.
Directions for Printing:
*Even though some of the pages are upside down, print pages 3-22 as they are set-up in this file.
*On the copier, select “one sided to two sided”.
*Fold the pages in half and staple on the fold.
