Guided Writing is an instructional practice that has the power to be a real deal changer in your classroom. Getting to focus in on small groups of students and what they need as writers based directly from what you noticed in their writing is just best practice. You can also reach students in a different, collaborative way when you pair this practice with Writing Conferences.
This freebie includes:
-Guided Writing Framework: This sheet lays out the parts of a guided writing lesson, how to do each part, and how the different parts fit together.
-Analyzing a Class Set of Writing: This form is a place for you to take notes on as you read through a class set of writing so that you're able to group students by what you notice they need to improve on as writers.
-Lesson Plan Template: Put guided writing into action and plan out lessons of your own.
