Do you use guided math groups and math centers in your classroom? If so, then this will help you keep track of everything during this time period in your day. This file is a Powerpoint presentation with 4 editable slides (You can always copy a slide or delete a slide if you need to add more or have less groups). You take student's pictures (or you could add text boxes and type in their names), and place them at the bottom of the slide. Display the file on your interactive board, and then students find their picture, and drag it to the appropriate activity for that time. For example, students might drag their picture to math technology for the first choice, then they have to meet with the teacher for the second choice, then maybe it's a math journal for the third choice, and then finally it might be math by myself for the last choice. You just designate a responsible student to tap the correct slide on the side of your screen when it is time to switch groups. I always put the pictures of students who are working with me in ahead of time, so they know when they need to meet with me. This helps hold everyone accountable during this time, and you can glance quickly around the room to see that everyone is where they're supposed to be.
