PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This activity is designed to be used either during or directly following a student's initial reading of an assignment/selection of Nonfiction. The activity encourages and facilitates a close reading of the assignment/selection by creating an avenue through which the student can study vocabulary, characterization (if there are people mentioned in the assignment/selection, if not, this category may be altered to fit other needs), structure, and any literary devices that may be present. It is an excellent measure of how well they retain the information that they read, and it contains suggested point values for those who wish to take it for a grade.
