This unit was designed to teach emergent writers about print concepts associated with sentence writing, as well as how to use resources and strategies to to write their own sentences independently.
Teaching Points include:
A sentence is made when words join together.
A sentence has a naming part.
A sentence has a telling part.
Step 1: Think about what you want to write.
Step 2: Begin your sentence with a capital letter.
Step 3: Put spaces between your words.
Step 4: End your sentence with a punctuation mark.
Step 5: Reread you sentence to see if it makes sense.
We can plan out our sentence using word lines.
We can follow the steps to write a sentence.
