The Guilty/Not Guilty Activity is an engaging lesson that allows students to be “jurors” and determine the verdict of 3 different (real) criminal trials. The cases include OJ Simpson, Casey Anthony, and Laci Peterson.
Students will go through the facts of each case and determine the verdict based on the evidence alone. Then, they will vote in their groups just like real jurors do. Last, each group will give their verdict and the teacher will share the verdict in real life.
Included in this set are teacher instructions, student sheet, group voting sheet, Cards for each case that detail the evidence/facts, and a PowerPoint that gives information about the real-life case.
