After reading the African folktale, How the Guinea Fowl Got Her Spots, your students will enjoy reenacting part of the story as they create this guinea fowl craftivity! They get to use Cow's tail (paintbrush) and sprinkle milk (white paint) onto the black feathers of the guinea fowl so that she is able to camouflage!

They will also learn about the guinea fowl, an animal native to Africa, as they complete the labeling page.

Also included is a graphic organizer that can be used to describe characteristics of Nganga, the guinea fowl character. This printable can be used as a prewrite for a writing piece on character analysis.
