This set of Google Slides is designed for to be delivered to students via Google Classroom; however, it could also be used during direct instruction or as a station on an interactive whiteboard. Purchasers will need a Google account in order to access this file. The download will be a PDF file that includes a link to make your own copy of the Google Slides.
There are 8 slides included. The first 5 ask students to design a gumball machine that meets a specific likelihood criteria for a specific color gumball. The last 3 slides ask students to design a gumball machine and use a likelihood word to describe the probability of choosing a certain color gumball.
The likelihood words that are a focus of this activity include: impossible, unlikely, equally likely, likely, and certain.
