This interactive gum-ball game utilizes the first one hundred Fry Words. There are two versions, a black and white and a colored version. Printed on card stock this game can be laminated or used as is. The black and white version becomes interactive and the students can decorate their very own gum-balls.
The students can either flip the gum-balls upside down or play them right side up. They choose a sight word and if they know it it can go into their gum-ball machine, if they do not know the word it goes back into the gum-ball pile. This game can be played alone or in pairs. Another extension would be to create take home sets for the children to work on outside of school. I hope you and your students enjoy this as much as my class and I have!
