In this project students design and build a mini-catapult to launch gummy bears. They time their launch and use this information to write the quadratic function that models the height of the gummy bear based on the time since the launch. They use this function to determine the maximum height of the gummy bear and to sketch the graph of the scenario. Domain, range, and average rate of change are all discussed and the final product is put together in an electronic presentation. A rubric is included.
