This PowerPoint counselor guidance lesson is perfect for teaching personal safety with guns. It has 13 slides and includes a link to the Eddie Eagle video to support these concepts. Animation and transitions are included in the presentation to help to hold the interest of students. Video is approximately 7 min long.
Eddie Eagle teaches the students to follow these four steps: Stop. Don't touch. Leave the area. Tell an adult. Elementary students enjoy the video, and it is done in a way that holds the interest of the students.
Statistics are included to show the danger and make it relatable for the students.
This multimedia PowerPoint presentation will take approximately 25-30 minutes to present and is geared toward elementary level students. I created this presentation so that the students can really understand the concept of how safety is an important component of life and to learn how to keep themselves, friends, and relatives safe in case they encounter a gun. Discussing it and knowing what to do is always best!!
Notes are included with the slides to help you to teach the lesson(s) and cover the concepts thoroughly.
Video is NOT embedded and is a link. If you have trouble with it, please notify me so that I can help with the problem. Anytime you have technology, the possibility of a glitch is there. That way I can fix it for you and everyone else. : )
