This activity is a great team building activity which always for the following concepts to be covered while the students are actively involved in the lesson: : balance, body control, Cooperation, foot-eye coordination, hand-eye coordination, speed, quickness, teamwork, communication, and listening skills. It’s a great activity to help incorporate skills dealing with gymnastics and the use of the gymnastic equipment such as the balance beam. Teams are required to work together to achieve a goal presented to them by the teacher depending on the grade level you teach. The teams will then try to become the first team to complete the task at hand while using the following concepts above. The students will learn what it takes to listen, communicate, and work cooperatively with their peers during an activity. Try this activity if you are looking for something to help in a balancing/gymnastic unit or lesson. It can also be a great cooperative activity if you are just looking for something different. Modifications can be made however the teacher feels necessary. This activity can be done at any age level based on the teacher and it includes the standards. Enjoy!
