Product Description

Having students assume the persona of a character is a great way to assess their understanding of all the elements of the play.

I use this Hamlet activity after class discussion of Act 4,

but it could be used at any time.

Students are asked to choose a character: Claudius, Gertrude, Hamlet, or Ophelia.

They must relate the events of the act through the character's perspective and include feelings, questions and speculations.

I have complete instructions for length and expectations such as

"Be sure to portray the character accurately and in accordance with the characterization that we have established up to this point in the play."

There is a grading rubric included.

Clear font and interesting graphics.

Thanks for your consideration of this resource.
