It's great to quote Shakespeare! Students will memorize 13 quotes and be able to identify the speaker and the situation for each quote. Students do not present the quotes orally; they must be able to write the quotes and by identifying the speaker and situation, to discuss the importance of the quote to the play. A former student of mine (now a pre-med major) saw me at Walmart comparing prices on an item. Unaware that he was there, I heard a voice say, "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." We both had a good laugh! Yes, the Bard's words do stay with you. "To memorize, or not to memorize; that is the question." The answer is "to memorize." Enjoy!
