Product Intended Use
This document is for use in public and/or homeschool classrooms to get students thinking more deeply about the books that they are reading. Analysis of texts, characters, and language are extraordinarily important, and the rigor at which we provide our instruction must match the high expectations we all have for our students.
Each set of questions within this book is paired with the journal “month” from which the questions came. The layout is designed so that students are given only one page (printed front and back) at a time; page 3 and 4 of this document would be printed together, done by kids, handed in, and then they would work on page 5 and 6, 7 and 8, etc. This allows kids to move forward in the book without feeling overwhelmed, and gives teachers the opportunity to assess reading more frequently.
