HB 1501 Requires Texas public schools to observe a minute of silence at the beginning of the school day on September 11 if the date falls on a school day. Proceeding the minute of silence, a class instructor shall make a statement of reference to the memory of individuals who died on September 11, 2001. The minute of silence may be held in conjunction with the minute of silence required under Section 25.082.

Below the description of the bill is a brief statement of reference that can be read during the regular moment of silence on September 11.
