Do you struggle to keep your students organized when it comes to their folders? Do they lose their homework or forget to bring it back to school? Do their folders look like a place for papers to go to die? You are not alone!
A few years ago, I found that my students really needed a tool and a system to keep them organized when it came to their take-home folder. I wanted them to be more responsible with what they take home and bring back to school each day. Enter a HERO folder! An organizational tool for students to learn that all papers have a proper place. I have put together in this file those components that have helped my students the most.
I've also included my STAR spelling homework grid and my S.U.P.E.R Readers reading homework helper!
Each child receives a vinyl pocket folder with fasteners (vinyl lasts longer). I place page protectors with the different inserts below.
At the start of each year, I present my students with their HERO folder and go over the rules. I make sure they understand what an important tool it will be for them over the course of the year.
