The comments keep flooding in for my series....
"Thank you for creating and sharing a cover for state assignments."
"For teachers who require their classes to research and create state reports, your state magazine covers are one-in-a-million activity sheets. Thank you!"
"Thank you. The variety of the magazine covers is what catches the eye. I like the fact that they are not uniform and the same - they each are in itself a representation of the state."
In this magazine cover space allow students to draw what they think would be most remembered about their own state, whatever it might be. Let them draw in pencil, color in pencil colors, and finish in black ink.
It is a great short activity for that "fill-in-time" where you need just some little item to finish the day, after a test, before a holiday, etc.
I have used my own state's version of a magazine cover for years and have gotten some excellent ideas.
