There are so many things students COULD tell us, so many things students remember, so many things have knowledge of but we forget in the mad rush of ending the year to really ask them. I know I did until I came up with this End of Year Memories assignment. I would always give my student a choice of picking THREE items to tell me about. It was never graded but it was always full of excellent information. There was never a lot of writing, just what was in their mind.
It became great reading during the early part of summer, which – I know, I'm weird – but I enjoyed it. It gave me a chance to remember each student in a good way, with no grading, no figuring out scores, no pass or fail, etc.; just fun reading.
Here are 24 sets of questions, answer sheets plus one blank set.
I have also included one set of cards so that you can create your own questions if you need too. I'm sure there is something I forgot. Email me if you find something that should be here – firstname.lastname@example.org . Enjoy your reading.
