HISTORY Magazine has always been a great way to enhance a story, historical figure, place, or event much of it from the British point of view, but still 'historical'. I have used time form of storytelling in helping my own students get the ideas from a chapter. It lets them choose who they want to draw, event they want to illustrate, or story they want to tell. It means I get to see just what they remember and how much they remember.
Having an art degree background along with my history degree has always been fun in my own teaching. Plus my own journalism degree has helped in my ELA related assignments. My students never know just what they are walking into each day. PLUS, I never know exactly what I am going to get in return.
