Product Description
This assignment is a descriptive essay based on the true story of Geoffrey Bowers as portrayed in the 1993 film Philadelphia. After learning about immunity and the transmission of STDs and STIs, students watched the Philadelphia movie and answered in depth Socratic method questions about the effects of HIV/AIDs in all aspects (Society, Family, Community, Business, etc.) This is a great extension activity to help students develop humility, empathy, and ethical standards. My students loved it!! Once they got over the film being so old.
