This is the resource I would have liked to use when I had seven grades in the one room and I had to differentiate to such a wide range of skill development. I would have set it up in a Literacy Centre. The Big Book of Homophones would have been bound and the task cards would have been laminated. I would have sequenced the cards according to my students' developmental stages and let them work through them at their own pace over the course of a term or semester. Now I focus on intervention part-time and it's much, much easier so I have the time to develop a product like this.
You could put the A4 posters up on display and just concentrate on a few or you could set it up as an independent activity and allow access to the answer cards for self correction and you would just monitor. It all depends on your needs. You could even make the Big Book of Homophones available as a resource to support your writers with correct spelling use. The book is in alphabetical order and would suit that purpose.
This bundle is all you need to cover homophones, so it would suit a whole school as well. All I would do is supplement it with my DONKEY homophones game set which is available. Playing the game consolidates the skills in a fun way. There are 6 games with 22 homophones in each game. The homophone list is included in the PREVIEW for that game and includes most of the homophones included here, but there are some extras as well.
I also have Tic Tac Toe games for the triple homophones: to/too/two, their/there/they're and wear/we're/where. These add variety to consolidation activities.
