This set of reciprocal teaching role cards is designed for guided reading reciprocal teaching groups. This resource draws on the reciprocal teaching, student-generated questioning and comprehension strategy instruction research. Each card includes prompts to scaffold small group guided reading discussions and the resource also includes graphic organisers for each step in the process.
Teachers may choose the number of cards (or group roles) appropriate for the size of the small group (one card or role for each group member) and the explicit teaching focus.
