An awesome way to keep students engaged. Although HP Lovecraft is a great American author, certain students, sometimes, lose focus through some of the elaborate descriptions.
This worksheet goes along with the story, and I specifically worded questions in a way to where they can't just skim the story for answers. The kids will end up loving the twist in this ending, like most Lovecraft's stories, but this keeps the harder-to-engage students awake. There's also an after reading question that discusses the idea of existentialism and how it relates to the main character.
If you don't have a copy of this story called "The Outsider," just Google or search it's title followed by "pdf." Enjoy and have fun!
