The sampler is comprised of 152 problems representative of 76 topics from grade 3 to 7. They are IN THE SAME ORDER in which I teach pre-Algebra B at my charter school. The course was designed and created when it became obvious that the majority of the new students in my school did not need high school math as much as they needed a RESET or a comprehensive course dealing with all the topics that were NEVER MASTERED. This is that course (actually, though, the problems shown are just about 7% of the problems that are actually available for the course).
The PREVIEW is confined to Grade 4 problems.
[The problems in All WORKSHEETS and PREVIEWS are printed in difficulty (1 [easy], 2 [not so easy], 3 [proficiency] up to 4 [mastery]) order within a skill. The actual difficulty level appears slightly to the left of the DK box of each problem in a very small font. Also, instructional references appear on worksheets but are optional on quizzes.]
NOTE: every pair of problems is preceded by the Common Core Standard code (in green) that is applicable.
NOTE also: this course focuses primarily on FRACTIONS whereas the first semester dealt heavily with the primary operations.
Further, I offer a complete package whereby you can create your own courses as well as track student progress for a whole array of grades. This is not offered here (yet) but you may visit my website at www.iaimath.com to learn more.
As of 2/7/15 I have made the following revisions to this product:
1. the addition of a moderate difficulty assessment (level 2) with answer key
2. the addition of a slightly more difficult assessment (level 3) with answer key
On 6/21/2016 I added the READ ME FIRST text file that usually accompanies the full course (also on this website).
THE IDEA BEHIND THE ASSESSMENTS IS THAT IF YOUR HS STUDENTS CANNOT PASS EITHER ONE THEN, MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, THEY COULD BENEFIT FROM THIS ENTIRE COURSE.
A questionnaire that I have used from year to year to ascertain if the new secondary student needs to have a pre-Algebra course is
the Pre-Algebra Questionnaire
. I have found that ONLY a paper-based series of questions allows me to see the various weaknesses of each student. Take a look at it.

Possibly the most important of all are the 2 semesters of Pre-Algebra that I have had to concoct and hone over the last decade. So, look at the HS [Remedial] Pre-Algebra A Sampler: (textbook-less course)
