This is one of best lessons I have bought on TPT!!! Very easy to follow, and very informative. Everything is ready and there is no planning required. THANK YOU!

Forensic Anthropology Death Investigation: Notes + Activity

This was a GREAT VALUE!!!!! There are 2 activities where students are active. The "assessment" whether you want to have a quiz or really good practice had 21 impressions to match to footwear. Most products don't offer enough practice.

Forensic Footwear Impression Evidence: Three Activities

I used this for distance learning within my Forensics Unit and it was EXTREMELY helpful. It was full of great graphics and crime scene scenarios that gave a great overall lesson on blood typing as class evidence, and blood spatter at a crime scene. I will definitely use it in years to come with my forensics unit.

Blood Spatter and Blood Evidence Unit Bundle

This was an excellent activity. While it took us several days to get through it all, the students were very attentive and engaged. We stopped and discussed after each section, and the students came up with some great ideas and theories about what was going on, motive, etc--even some things I hadn't even considered!

    Arson Investigation

My students love to use tech for learning and were very engaged with this set of interactive notes. I love that it requires them to work within the Google Slides and that I can check their progress as they go.

    Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
    NGSSHS-ETS1-2
Design a solution to a complex real-world problem by breaking it down into smaller, more manageable problems that can be solved through engineering.
    NGSSHS-LS3-3
Apply concepts of statistics and probability to explain the variation and distribution of expressed traits in a population. Emphasis is on the use of mathematics to describe the probability of traits as it relates to genetic and environmental factors in the expression of traits. Assessment does not include Hardy-Weinberg calculations.
    NGSSHS-LS1-2
Develop and use a model to illustrate the hierarchical organization of interacting systems that provide specific functions within multicellular organisms. Emphasis is on functions at the organism system level such as nutrient uptake, water delivery, and organism movement in response to neural stimuli. An example of an interacting system could be an artery depending on the proper function of elastic tissue and smooth muscle to regulate and deliver the proper amount of blood within the circulatory system. Assessment does not include interactions and functions at the molecular or chemical reaction level.
    NGSSHS-LS1-1
Construct an explanation based on evidence for how the structure of DNA determines the structure of proteins, which carry out the essential functions of life through systems of specialized cells. Assessment does not include identification of specific cell or tissue types, whole body systems, specific protein structures and functions, or the biochemistry of protein synthesis.
    NGSSHS-PS1-2
Construct and revise an explanation for the outcome of a simple chemical reaction based on the outermost electron states of atoms, trends in the periodic table, and knowledge of the patterns of chemical properties. Examples of chemical reactions could include the reaction of sodium and chlorine, of carbon and oxygen, or of carbon and hydrogen. Assessment is limited to chemical reactions involving main group elements and combustion reactions.
