Did you know laughter is actually exercise ? And why do we laugh ?
The Scientific American Journal states we laugh to help us relax and feel good. However, we don’t only laugh when we think something is funny.
People laugh when they’re angry, sad, nervous, uncomfortable, anxious and/or surprised. Sometimes we laugh just because others are laughing without knowing why….
Every day in my classroom, I wanted to hear my students laugh and NOT at each other. Developing a healthy sense of Humor was always an important objective of mine. Teaching young minds to know the difference between good Humor and bad Humor is challenging. What many in this world consider funny is actually quite sad and, well, mentally unstable….Maybe.... we’re all nervous….
