Healthy coping skills are the strategies that a student/client uses to handle a stressful situation so that they feel better; these positive coping skills don't create further problems. This bilingual resource includes various coping skills that Spanish-speaking students can use when they are feeling bad. The directions to the counselor are provided in English; only the student materials are in Spanish. To use this resource, give students/clients a copy of the Spanish healthy coping skills list included. Then, use the Spanish discussion questions to process the list with them so they can apply the skills to their own lives.
