HabitWise is an in-class program that empowers adolescents to use the psychology of habit formation to improve their wellness, productivity, money management, and relationships. It's a critical addition to the curriculum for Health, Advisory, Family & Consumer Sciences, Guidance, Social & Emotional Learning, and After-School programs.

Lesson #6 of the HabitWise program helps students learn how they can use the habit loop to examine how their thinking and communication affects their relationships.

After watching the video and completing the follow-up worksheets, students will be able to:
• Describe black-and white thinking and explain how it can have a negative impact on
relationships.
• Identify descriptions and behaviors that fall into the “gray area” of situations.
• Define paraphrasing and identify how it can improve relationships.
• Identify the positive and negative ways social media affects relationships.
• Identify behaviors that could replace bullying.
• Identify behaviors that could replace sexting.
